A young boy nearly choked to death. He is currently in the intensive care unit for children, and needs your prayers. Read his story below:
“My husband and I have two wonderful children, our youngest is Gideon. He just turned two and is as silly and rambunctious as can be. On tuesday my mama heart was shattered when we got a call from his daycare saying he had choked on a mango at snack and wasn’t breathing, he was unresponsive and enroute to a nearby trauma center after performing CPR and back blows.
The medical and daycare staff was fast acting and his pulse never stopped but unfortunately he was unable to breath and in order to keep this little guy going they had to intubate him. The trauma center hooked him up to a ventilator and sedated him before transfering him to the PICU at a children’s hospital.
My husband and I are crushed as we watch our playful, adventurous toddler lay in bed relying on the machines buzzing around him to keep him going. His MRI has showed no damage but after days his lungs are showing signs of trauma and inflammation from the event. His progress is very slow, but we are praying for a full recovery and that we will be able to look into his bright blue eyes soon.
We have had people ask how they can help or if they can donate so I have set this up for just that. We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers from everyone through these trying times. We aren’t sure when this journey will be through so in the mean time we are asking for any help as we are missing work and covering expenses of our stay with our sweet son at the hosptial.
Thank you, and God bless.”
Please pray and donate here if you can!
