A young woman with a bright future was tragically snuffed out by an evil man earlier last week, during the Las Vegas shooting. Calla Medig was a bright young woman who wanted to help people. Instead, she has passed on to heaven. Please read her story and consider donating to her roommate, Amica, who witnessed the attack. Donate here.
On October 1st Calla Medig was senselessly killed in the Las Vegas shooting. Jaspers heart is broken for this loss and we all ache with pain for Calla’s parents, Louise and Peter.
Calla had travelled to Las Vegas with her dear friend and roommate Amica Allenbach – also from Jasper. Amica was there with Calla when she passed away. She also witnessed other concert goers that had been shot and endured the chaos that ensued.
Although Amica is an amazingly strong young woman, she has months, if not years, of finding a way to heal herself. Her life is forever changed.
When someone is stolen away too soon, sometimes in grief we forget those that survived. Please help by making a donation to assist Amica through this unimaginably difficult time.”
Will you please pray for them?
“We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.”
