Young Superstar Turns To Jesus After Nearly Dying In The Hospital

Selena Gomez found out that she needed a kidney transplant from lupus. It was a shock to her and her family when she was near death, but a friend came through.

“I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made. For more information regarding Lupus please go to the Lupus Research Alliance website: www.lupusresearch.org/ -by grace through faith” This was her post to instagram.

Her mother had this to say, “This picture is one of the most breathtaking images that will live with me forever. For all those moments of not knowing if we were going up or going down, I can always come back to this picture and know we can always make it back up,” Teefey wrote.
“As a mother I was helpless, scared, and all I could do was pray for both of them, Francia’s beautiful family. I am pretty sure I am banned from that hospital. Mama Bear was in high gear,” the 41 year old said.
“Selena gained a kidney, I was able to keep my little girl, but I also gained another daughter, thank you to everyone who was there for Sel, Francia and our families. We survived from all the love, prayers and God,” Teefey concluded.
Will you pray for Selena?
